You can export all the immunizations that have been entered into a patient's record in Dentrix Enterprise so you can import the resulting HL7-formatted file into your medical practice management program.
Note: Exporting immunizations requires both the "Patient Immunizations, Send To File" security right and that user verification not be assigned to the "Patient Immunizations, Send To File" task.
To export immunizations
With a patient selected in Family File, on the File menu, click Patient Immunizations.
The Immunizations dialog box appears.
Click Export.
The Immunization Export dialog box appears.
Set up the following options:
Receiving Application Namespace ID - The namespace ID of the application that will be receiving the exported file.
Race:
Identifier - The identifier for the patient's race.
Text - The full description of the patient's race.
Code System - Leave HL70005 entered, or enter a different code system if necessary.
Receiving Facility ID - The ID of the facility that will be receiving the exported file.
Ethnicity
Identifier - The identifier for the patient's ethnicity.
Text - The full description of the patient's ethnicity.
Code System - Leave HL70189 entered, or enter a different code system if necessary.
Click Save As.
The Save File As dialog box appears.
Browse to and select the location where you want to save the HL7 message file (an .er7 file).
In the File name box, enter a name for the file.
Click Save.
